About Baby Massage Dublin 15

I will teach you strokes that are safe and appropriate for your baby.  You can then enjoy it as a regular activity at home together.  The classes are relaxed and give plenty of opportunity for you to get to know the other local mums in the class.

Lorna is qualified through Baby Massage Ireland and is affiliated with the International Association of Infant Massage, which means that you can claim back up to 100% of the course cost from your health insurance..

Baby Massage is great for:

– Relief from digestive issues (trapped wind, colic etc)
– Relaxation for baby, and therefore for mum as well
– Interaction – baby massage promotes bonding and is a great way of spending quality time with your baby.
– Stimulation – baby massage stimulates the muscular-skeletal system and the lymphatic system (part of the immune system)

Baby Massage Dublin Course Details

Course length:  5 weeks
Course cost:  €80/ €100 with health insurance (you can claim it back).

Please note that this is the final course so there will be no opportunity to make up a class if you missed one.

I will teach you strokes that are safe and appropriate for you to massage your baby, so that you can enjoy it as a regular activity at home.

The massage class which I teach was developed by Vimala McClure who is the founder of the International Association of Infant Massage and is taught all over the world.

You can be sure that you are receiving a quality class as I am accredited by the International Association of Infant Massage and am a member of Baby Massage Ireland. This also means that you can claim back up to €100 off the course cost from your insurance company.

I have a first class degree in psychology and philosophy and a masters in womens’ studies which along with qualifications in counselling skills, first aid, teaching and over 13 years of experience teaching adults means that I am well placed to teach the course.

As a sling consultant I offer help at the end of the class if you are considering getting a baby carrier or sling.

  2. Relaxation- during the massage and also may help baby sleep better
  3. Stimulation – stimulating the muscles and nerve pathways.

Active Mum Coffee Morning: Lactation consultant on 3/4/14

meet other mums

Come and meet other local mums for friendship and support!  The group is friendly and relaxed and I will be there to welcome you and introduce you to the other mums.

The group is breast and bottle feeding-friendly and is a safe, comfortable space for you to enjoy being with your baby and being out meeting people too. It is open for mums with babies under 9 months, so you are all at the same stage.

There will be a €3 admission charge to cover the rent of the room, and that will include biscuits.  Tea and coffee are available to purchase from the coffee shop.  Tea is €1 and coffee is €1.50.

Thursday 3/4/14  2014 with Mairead Murphy, lactation consultant, who will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about breastfeeding.
