Active Mum Fitness Classes – on hold

All the fitness classes are on hold for the time being.  Apologies for any inconvenience.

I have been offered an exciting part-time opportunity so I will be cutting down my Active Mum activities to just the baby massage and mum meetup groups.

Thanks to all of you who have come and supported the classes in the past.

Active Mum Coffee Morning: Lactation consultant on 3/4/14

meet other mums

Come and meet other local mums for friendship and support!  The group is friendly and relaxed and I will be there to welcome you and introduce you to the other mums.

The group is breast and bottle feeding-friendly and is a safe, comfortable space for you to enjoy being with your baby and being out meeting people too. It is open for mums with babies under 9 months, so you are all at the same stage.

There will be a €3 admission charge to cover the rent of the room, and that will include biscuits.  Tea and coffee are available to purchase from the coffee shop.  Tea is €1 and coffee is €1.50.

Thursday 3/4/14  2014 with Mairead Murphy, lactation consultant, who will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about breastfeeding.

Infant Massage Course in Blanchardstown 11/3/14

baby/ infant massage class

Spend quality time with your baby learning how to give your baby a massage, and meet other local mums for friendship and support.

I will teach you strokes that are safe and appropriate for you to massage your baby, so that you can enjoy it as a regular activity at home.

The massage class which I teach was developed by Vimala McClure who is the founder of the International Association of Infant Massage and is taught all over the world.

You can be sure that you are receiving a quality class as I am accredited by the International Association of Infant Massage and am a member of Baby Massage Ireland. This also means that you can claim back up to €100 off the course cost from your insurance company.

I have a first class degree in psychology and philosophy and a masters in womens’ studies which along with qualifications in counselling skills, first aid, teaching and over 13 years of experience teaching adults means that I am well placed to teach the course.

As a sling consultant I offer help at the end of the class if you are considering getting a baby carrier or sling.
