Four week course starts Monday 14/3/16  at 8:30pm at Carrickmacross Workhouse.

Yoga for Birth and Pregnancy: About the Course

Feel the physical and mental benefits of yoga during pregnancy and learn different positions, breathing techniques and other skills to use for the birth. Help yourself to feel prepared and empowered for the birth.

During the class you will do the following:

1.  Asana (yoga positions) that help during pregnancy and birth,
2.  Visualisations to help during pregnancy and birth,
3.  Breathing techniques to help during different stages of labour.

The course topics covered are as follows:

Week 1: Hopes and Fears around Labour and Birth
Week 2: Helping yourself in the 6 weeks prior to birth
Week 3: Warm-up Labour
Week 4:  Active Labour (first stage)
Week 5: Avoiding or Managing Interventions
Week 6: Positions and Recommendations for Stage 2 of Labour (Giving Birth)

Time:  Mondays at 8:30-9:45pm

Make up classes you missed during the next course.
Please bring a yoga mat.
