About Cavan Baby Massage

I will teach you strokes that are safe and appropriate for your baby.  You can then enjoy it as a regular activity at home together.  The classes are relaxed and give plenty of opportunities for you to get to know the other local mums in the class.

Hilary is qualified through Baby Massage Ireland and is affiliated with the International Association of Infant Massage, which means that you can claim back up to 100% of the course cost from your health insurance..

Baby Massage Cavan

Cavan Baby Massage is great for:

– Relief from digestive issues (trapped wind, colic etc)
– Relaxation for baby, and therefore for mum as well
– Interaction – baby massage promotes bonding and is a great way of spending quality time with your baby.
– Stimulation – baby massage stimulates the muscular-skeletal system and the lymphatic system (part of the immune system)

Yoga for Birth and Pregnancy

Four week course starts Monday 14/3/16  at 8:30pm at Carrickmacross Workhouse.

Yoga for Birth and Pregnancy: About the Course

Feel the physical and mental benefits of yoga during pregnancy and learn different positions, breathing techniques and other skills to use for the birth. Help yourself to feel prepared and empowered for the birth.

During the class you will do the following:

1.  Asana (yoga positions) that help during pregnancy and birth,
2.  Visualisations to help during pregnancy and birth,
3.  Breathing techniques to help during different stages of labour.

The course topics covered are as follows:

Week 1: Hopes and Fears around Labour and Birth
Week 2: Helping yourself in the 6 weeks prior to birth
Week 3: Warm-up Labour
Week 4:  Active Labour (first stage)
Week 5: Avoiding or Managing Interventions
Week 6: Positions and Recommendations for Stage 2 of Labour (Giving Birth)

Zumba – Family Friendly Class

Are you interested in joining a family friendly zumba class?  There would be a minder in the room to help keep your child happy while you get a workout.  The class would also be sling-friendly for those of you  who prefer.

Mum and baby fitness classes.  The best way to get back in shape after you have had your baby.

Classes with post-natal fitness qualified instructor.

About Buggy Fit Phoenix Park

The best way to get back in shape after you have had your baby.  Safe, effective exercises to help you get toned and active again.  Bring your baby along and feel reassured that it’s a baby-led class – you can feel free to soothe, feed or change your baby at any time.

Don’t worry about what kind of buggy you have – it does not need to be a running buggy. We walk, not run, with the buggies on the decent footpaths, so whatever you have will be fine.

I am moving out of the Dublin area and will soon be running Active Mum classes and events in Dublin 15 for only one day a week.  I’m afraid time won’t allow for any more of the meetups.

Meetup for Mums 28/5/15

Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) – for a walk around the gardens, in the gallery for those with babies in arms, and a visit to the child-friendly cafe.

This is a new weekly event on the Active Mum calendar.  There will be a different excursion each week to a child-friendly place within a 30 minute radius of Dublin 15.

The aim is to get outdoors when the weather is good enough.  I will be there to welcome you and introduce you to others in the group.  Please contact me if you would like to come along so we can look out for you.
